Conference Announcement: Working Her Out<\/em> to be Presented at ACA National Conference<\/strong><\/p>\n We\u2019re excited to announce that Abi Cook-Singh from Working It Out Now<\/em> will be presenting at the Australian Counselling Association (ACA) National Conference<\/strong> next week, on Friday 14 June<\/strong>, at the Adelaide Convention Centre<\/strong>. This presentation is part of Changing Landscapes<\/em>, a three-day conference bringing together leading voices in counselling, education, and advocacy.<\/p>\n Their session, titled Working Her Out \u2013 Mothers- and Daughters-in-Law: The Dynamic and Its Impact in Family Farm Business<\/em>, draws on their published longitudinal research<\/strong> exploring one of the most significant, yet often unspoken\u2014relationships in farming families.<\/p>\n Through the lens of both professional expertise and lived experience<\/strong>, Abi examines how this intergenerational dynamic shapes communication, identity, succession, and decision-making within multi-generational farm enterprises. They reflect on the importance of truth-telling<\/strong> and how vulnerability, when recognised and supported, can become a powerful source of strength, connection, and resilience<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Abi is honoured to be part of this year\u2019s program and is looking forward to connecting with practitioners, educators, and advocates from across the sector.
